The Education and Public Awareness division is the branch of Doctors with Africa Cuamm that is prevalently active in Italy and Europe.
We implement training and awareness-raising projects to draw the attention of both healthcare professionals – doctors, nurses, medical students – and the public as a whole closer to our key interests: the right to health, equity, international healthcare cooperation, and Global Health.
We operate in a network with institutional partners, universities, student associations and other not-for-profit organizations. Our aim is to make Italian and European public opinion aware of the value of health as a fundamental human right and an essential component of the full development of human potential.
Our work mainly involves the training of healthcare professionals and university students, lobbying and advocacy to rally opinion in favour of health equity, and organization of awareness building events and activities at national and international level.

Green light for module 2.
The second module of the training course, "Cooperating for health in Africa," will be held from 7 to 11 November. The course, which was well attended in September, will recommence with a close look at the subject of strengthening African healthcare systems, which is the core of the work of Doctors with Africa Cuamm. The participants, who were familiarized, during the first module, with the setting in which Doctors with Africa Cuamm works, will now examine the various components of health care systems. The aim is to show them how consolidation of these systems is instrumental in guaranteeing healthcare service coverage, efficiency, accessibility and equity and therefore in improving the population health status. . Check out the programme.
